Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to to end career at Celtic

Sweden v Portugal - FIFA 2014 World Cup Qualifier: Play-off Second Leg

On his way to Celtic Park?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has opened the door for a shock move to Scottish Premier League champions Celtic, by claiming he could see himself finishing his career there, according to reports.

The Swede has shocked the football world with the revelation that he could make the move to Scotland after admitting he bent the ear of former international teammate and Celtic legend Henrik Larsson over what life at the club was like.

The controversial striker was impressed by what the former legend had to say about the atmosphere at Celtic Park, prompting him to think about shunning an eventual move to the USA in favour of the SPL.

“Celtic is a club with a big tradition and a place any top player would want to end their career,” Ibrahimovic said.

“How could I say I wouldn’t want to play for those fans every week?

“Henrik was good enough to play for any team in Europe. But after playing at Celtic Park it is easy to understand why he chose to stay there for so long.”

Larsson enjoyed a long and successful spell at Celtic before leaving to join another of Zlatan’s former sides Barcelona. However, The Bhoys may have to wait till they can snap him up as he only agreed a new deal in the French capital earlier on in the year.
