John Cena confirmed for WWE Immortals

NetherRealm Studios and WWE have now confirmed the first three wrestlers to be featured in WWE Immortals. The game is an upcoming free-to-play mobile fighting title by NetherRealm Studios which is set in a “re-imagined WWE world” where the wrestlers will look and act differently than their real-life selves. The game will also feature supernatural elements, which is no surprise given that NetherRealm Studios are the same developers behind the Mortal Kombat series as well.

The first wrestler confirmed for the fighting game title was The Rock. This was revealed in a promotional artwork for the game when WWE Immortals was first announced. The second wrestler revealed by NetherRealm was Brock Lesnar who’s promotional pic looks a bit like Drax the Destroyer as he appeared in Marvel’s Guardian’s of the Galaxy.

They have announced today that John Cena will be in WWE Immortals as well. Cena’s promotional picture looks a lot like his old self with the only difference being a red suit that kind of resembles a cross between Captain America and Superman’s suit in Man of Steel. This might have been done on purpose since his image has been that of the unstoppable good guy.

They have not released any other information on the game so far, but fans can expect some more cool looking promotional pictures of wrestlers in the next few months. The game is slated to release on January 15, 2015 for the Android and iOS devices.
