Rahm, who was number one in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for 60 straight weeks, first became No. 1 in the official World Golf rankings in July 2020 after winning the Memorial Tournament.
After his third victory of the year in the 2023 Genesis Invitational, Rahm has reclaimed the top spot in the World Golf Rankings. The Spanish player scored a final-round 69 at Riviera to finish 17 under par, two strokes ahead of Max Homa of the US. Patrick Cantlay finished third, another stroke behind.
This triumph marks Rahm's 10th PGA Tour victory and fifth in his past nine international appearances.
