Thanks a lot for joining us here today. We had an absolute gala of a time, and we hope that you did as well. This is me, Mohul Bhowmick, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pradeep. Until next time, ciao!

Richie Berrington [Scotland captain]: It was really important today after the win against Ireland, needed to adapt to the conditions but pleasing that we pulled off a clinical performance with the ball. Bit of an offer for the bowlers, tough for the batters, the longer you spend in the middle, the easier it gets and we did well at the backend of the game, just need to keep getting better as each game comes. As a team we speak a lot of being aggressive, take wickets, runs will leak but have to be at it, all the way through we kept taking wickets and was pleasing to see that. We know the importance of every game, we have a tough game coming up on Sunday and we need to be at it.

Mohammad Waseem [UAE captain]: I think we started well, we took 6 wickets but after that Scotland captain played well, he took the game away from us. We started well with the bat, we lost wickets and we kept finding partnership but didn't go all the way. Naseer is a good talent, is a good bowler with the new ball. We can't qualify but we want to bow out head high.

Richie Berrington is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: Pleasing to make the contribution today, got the team to a decent score and lot of credit to UAE, who made it tough for us but we did well at the back end of the game. We were bit of a pressure losing a lot of wickets, Leask and Watt helped me took the pressure off. It was a real graft at times in the middle, took a bit of time, wasn't a great wicket but timing became easy as I spent time in the middle, we wanted to cash in at the back end of the innings. Whatever we do, we have to be at our best and try to execute our skills to our potential.

Scotland emerged as worthy winners of a rather one-sided contest. They beat the United Arab Emirates all hands up across all three formats: batting, bowling and fielding and managed to pick up all the points on offer. This is Scotland's second win in this competition, coming on the back of the stupendous performance they put up against Ireland in their previous match.

Skipper Richie Berrington set up the win for Scotland owing to the brilliant 127 he got earlier in the day. He was assisted well by Mark Watt, who chipped in with a crucial and unbeaten 44 of his own. Scotland batted well despite having been reduced to 25-3 at one stage of their innings. Michael Leask too put in a handy effort with the ball in hand.

The UAE just could not match up to the bowling of the Scottish side. They were beaten completely and offered no resistance whatsoever. Skipper Muhammad Waseem hung around for a while and after his departure, it was only a matter of time before things unfolded the way they did. Safyaan Sharif was the most successful bowler for Scotland with four wickets to his name.

Scotland will be extremely pleased with the way they performed today across all departments and look to carry this further into the competition. They will, in all likelihood, qualify for the super sixes, and look to take it from there. They have a very well-balanced side, and will look to make the most of it and try to get to India for the main event.
