Right then. After losing the opening two games, India have managed to bounce back in this must-win contest and they did that in commanding fashion at the end of the day. They have some time to kick their feet up and get some rest before the caravan moves to Florida for the remainder of this series with everything to play for this weekend. Hardik Pandya: Obviously it's very important as a group as well. We spoke about these three games will be exciting. It's important to maintain our tempo. At the end of the day, we have a long-term plan and it's important that we show our character in these games. There was no certain plan about them bowling 12 overs. I thought I could use them early with Nicky not coming in early. Axar didn't bowl at all in the previous games, so he gave me a great option to rotate Yuzi and Kuldeep. It was also great to see how Arshdeep and Mukesh did. He's (Pooran) an exciting player to watch and I enjoy the competition where I have no margin for error. At the same time, I know he will come after me and I hope he's listening to this so he comes hard at me in the next game. It's important within the group that we have to take responsibility. We have seven batters. I believe bowlers win you games, and if batters score runs, you don't need runs from your number eight. (SKY and Tilak) Brilliant. As Surya mentioned, they play together and understand each other. It's good to have someone like Surya because he loves the challenging moments and likes to take responsibility. If he can do that, it sends a lot of confidence to the rest of the group. Playing like this after two ordinary innings, it shows his character.

Rovman Powell: I think we were 10-15 runs short. It looked like a good wicket in the end. Credit to the batting unit, the start we got is something we asked for. We just lost our way in the middle overs a little bit. (Promote Pooran at 3) We can always look back and say that but we wanted to give Charles an opportunity. Things went smoothly today, we were only 10-15 runs short. (Bowling) We bowled too much pace on deliveries. We talk about taking pace off the ball and we went away from it a little bit. We have a few days to sit down, relax. Take care of our bodies and come up with plans.

Suryakumar Yadav is the Player of the Match. Here is what he has to say: I think it was really important to be myself in the powerplay. That's what the team demands from me. Very happy with the way it went. I practice these strokes a lot and I love doing that. I stick to that and express myself whenever I get the opportunity. (Tilak) I think we've batted together for a long time now. We both understand how we bat together. It was his day to bat with a little maturity and it gave me a lot of confidence. I told him the way he was batting is giving me confidence to play my own game. It was running in the back of our minds but at the same time, we spoke in the team meeting. Our captain said it was important for someone to put their hands up and show character and it was the perfect opportunity to do so.

A rather comfortable win in the end for India. It was down to some magic from Suryakumar Yadav, showing why he's still one of the best batters in this format. His sublime knock made the run chase a walk in the park in the end, helping India keep the series alive with a couple of games to go.

Despite losing Jaiswal in the first over, SKY came in with some intent to put the pressure back on the West Indies. Gill struggled at the top again but it was Tilak Varma who provided enough support to his Mumbai Indians teammate, stitching together a scintillating 87-run stand that gave India complete control.

The possibility of a fourth T20I century for SKY wasn't outrageously out of reach but he couldn't hang around to finish the job for his side. In the end, Tilak would have loved to notch up a half-century of his own but is left stranded with a bitter-sweet feeling of being unbeaten on 49, playing another impactful knock for his team, and finally ending up on the winning side to keep the series alive.

Not a perfect performance by India but it was good enough to get the job done. Plenty of positives to take from it with the batting department flourishing, while some of the bowlers also held their own despite the challenges that came their way. As for the West Indies, it didn't work out for them today. They still lead the series 2-1 though, and will be hoping to get the job done in Florida this weekend.
