Dana White has been quite vocal about his frustrations with Jon Jones' DQ loss against Matt Hamill.

Back in 2009, Jones took on Hamill in the co-main event of The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale. Undefeated in his first nine MMA bouts, 'Bones' was a considerable favorite to win the matchup. However, in a rather unfortunate incident in the first round of the fight, Jones was disqualified after landing a 12-6 elbow strike, which is illegal.

Dana White has made no secret of his frustrations with the only loss on Jon Jones' near-perfect record. So much so that the UFC president has often spoken about trying to get the decision overturned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but to no avail.

However, recent reports by Bloody Elbow suggest otherwise. Despite calls for the disqualification to be overturned, neither the UFC nor Dana White have reached out to the Nevada State Atheltic Commission yet.

Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic go back-and-forth on Twitter

Jon Jones returned to the UFC octagon following a three-year hiatus with an emphatic win over Ciryl Gane earlier this month to become a two-division champion, further cementing his legacy as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Following the win over Gane, Jones was quick to announce his desire to fight the greatest heavyweight of all time, Stipe Miocic, in his first title defense. It is worth noting that a fight between the two was originally slated for Jones' return fight, which was supposed to happen last year, but that never came to fruition.

Jones and Miocic recently traded barbs on Twitter after rumblings that their bout could be pushed back beyond International Fight Week slated for July. 'Bones' tweeted:

"Yo [Stipe Miocic] only you, the UFC, and I know the truth. You dodged me all of 2022 - July, September, December. Now I'm hearing rumors that we may not be fighting this July."

In his next tweet, Jones wrote:

"Bro, it's simple, Either you believe in yourself or you don't. Either you want this challenge or you don't. Stop wasting everyone's time."

Stipe Miocic was quick to respond to the UFC heavyweight champion and put all the rumors to bed. The former champion tweeted:

"See you in July."
