Dana White has opened up about the improvement in his health during the course of 2022.

White had another hectic year as president of the UFC. The 53-year-old joined ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto for an interview to recap 2022.

Okamoto mentioned the various candy lying around the famous matchmaker’s room, where the interview was conducted. The UFC president responded by saying this about the candy:

“You know, the whole health thing I’ve gone through in the last five months. Back in the day, I loved sweets, so it’s this psychological thing. I have it all here, so I don’t eat it and don’t want it. I know it’s weird, so now everybody else eats it and not me. If it’s here, I don’t need it and don’t want it…”

White continued by saying:

“I’m done. This is the rest of my life. I will eat like this for the rest of my life. I’ve talked about this so much. This thing has completely changed my life. It’s phenomenal. Doctors for 10 years couldn’t tell me what was wrong, couldn’t fix things, little things that were wrong with me, including simple stuff that all men go through. Snoring. Snoring and sleep apnea…”

In September, the UFC president made headlines after being told he only had 10.4 years to live. White was diagnosed by Gary Brecka, a professional human biologist who co-founded 10x Health System. Since then, the 53-year-old has worked with Brecka to improve his health. He had this to say in the same interview with Okamoto:

“Go do a sleep study, and I guarantee that they are gonna put you on a CPAP machine. The other thing, a guy in LA that wanted to cut my tonsils out and widen my throat. This guy Gary Brecka, I don’t snore, and I don’t have sleep apnea anymore, and he did it in 10 weeks.”

Dana White strongly endorses Gary Brecka

Gary Brecka has over 20 years of experience in bio-hacking and functional medicine experience, according to his website. While there has been some backlash on social media about the legitimacy of Brecka’s practice, Dana White has been a vocal advocate. He had this to say during the ESPN MMA interview with Brett Okamoto:

“I could not endorse it enough… I could not recommend this to more people. I truly believe that this is the future of general health and medicine.”

Dana White’s endorsement of Brecka's methods is definitely going to earn the latter a lot of supporters.
