Multiple world champion Sebastien Loeb was out in front after the opening nine special stages in the Acropolis Rally on Friday.
Loeb, who took over the race lead after the fourth stage, led the two Ford drivers – Jari-Matti Latvala and Petter Solberg by 6.5sec and 17.7sec respectively.
Loeb’s Citroen teammate Mikko Hirvonen, delayed by a puncture in stage eight, was in fourth, 50s off the pace.
