Graham Barton 2024 NFL Draft Projection: How high could Duke OL go?

Graham Barton is steadily rising draft boards ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft. The Duke offensive lineman was once seen as a very late first-round prospect/early second-round pick. Now, he has the potential to go much higher than that. Lineman are extremely valuable, but this is a fairly deep class. Where could he go and what teams might need to take note of his draft stock?

Graham Barton 2024 NFL Draft Projection

Graham Barton is an interesting NFL prospect. He's a supremely talented offensive lineman who primarily plays guard. Unfortunately, it's a deep class for linemen, which forces him down the draft board a little bit.

He could easily be a mid-round first-round selection depending on how things go. If there's a run on linemen, he would be part of it. At the highest, Barton could be selected 21st by the Miami Dolphins.

He is also a very likely selection at 23 by the Minnesota Vikings. Both have major needs at guard that need to be filled, and Barton will likely be the best guard left at this range.

The Green Bay Packers (25th), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26th), Arizona Cardinals (27th), Detroit Lions (29th), Baltimore Ravens (30th) and San Francisco 49ers (31st) could be in play for him in the first round as well.

The Packers also pick early in the second round, and could be in play for Barton the second time around if he is still available.

Finding a pretty easy path to a starting job on the Super Bowl loser is not easy for most NFL prospects. It's even harder when that team was so dominant and stacked last year, but offensive line is open. Graham Barton could come in and make immediate impact on a genuine Super Bowl threat, and it's hard to get much better than that.

2) Baltimore Ravens

Could the Ravens be interested in Graham Barton?

The Baltimore Ravens don't have a ton of needs on offense outside of wide receiver and guard. That makes them a good spot for Barton, who would fit right in with their identity and help protect the reigning MVP. Todd Monken is also one of the best offensive coordinators in the NFL, and he'd be able to get creative with Barton.

1) Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have a major need at offensive guard, and Graham Barton could fit in right with them. What makes this a good fit for the Duke lineman is that they are a run-heavy team and they have brilliant coaching. This may be the most ideal landing spot due to their offensive style and Ben Johnson's wizardry at offensive coordinator. It doesn't hurt that they're a Super Bowl contender.
