Anthony Davis credits Aaron Rodgers for providing him motivation to drop 44-point game against Bucks

Aaron Rodgers was in attendance at the Fiserv Forum this week to watch the Milwaukee Bucks host the Los Angeles Lakers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback watched one of his biggest fans in the game, Lakers star Anthony Davis.

The 6'10" power forward and center scored 44 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks in the Lakers' 133-129 victory over the Bucks.

After the game, Davis gave Rodgers credit for his big game versus the Bucks and revealed what Rodgers told him before the game.

"You guys know how I feel about the Pack and him. So, I saw him before the game. He was like, 'AD, man, I'm going to need 30 tonight'. And then I just saw him [after the game], he said, 'I only said 30. Not 40'. So, it's always good for him to come out and watch the Lakers play, watch me play. He's a fan [of me] just how I'm a fan of his."

The eight-time NBA All-Star spoke with Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Randall Cobb in the hallway within the Fiserv Forum prior to talking to reporters for his post-game news conference.

The four-time NFL MVP was celebrating his 39th birthday at the NBA game and was treated to a stellar game by Davis. However, the 2022-23 NFL season hasn't been all that stellar for the Packers on the field.

Aaron Rodgers needs Anthony Davis-like performer this season for the Packers

The Green Bay Packers are one of the worst teams in the NFL currently, sitting with a record of 4-8, third in the NFC North. Rodgers has thrown for just 2,682 yards this season, which is 10th in the NFL.

He averages 223.5 yards per game, which is 22nd amongst quarterbacks this season. His nine interceptions are also tied for third-most in this campaign.

Aaron Rodgers could surely use a big target like Anthony Davis as the Packers' offense is 23rd in points per game, at 19.6. In Week 13, the Packers will face their rivals, the Chicago Bears.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback could be in for a bounce-back week as he's played exceptionally well versus the Bears in his career.

In 28 career starts against them, the quarterback has thrown for 6,783 yards, 63 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. The 10-time Pro Bowler has thrown for 1,627 yards, 18 touchdowns, and zero interceptions in his last seven starts against the Bears.
