Kyrie Irving is in hot water and now he's pulling an NFL wide receiver down with him. Jets wide receiver Elijah Moore initially posted a tweet backing the star before quickly taking it down, according to Justin Fried on Twitter. Fried also claimed that the wide receiver had liked a tweet that supported Irving.

In a screenshot of the wide receiver's post, it is seen that Moore posted a '100' emoji, backing up the Nets star. It seems like Moore has not been approached by the NFL yet. It is unclear if they will do so.

The wide receiver was a consistent producer for his team in September, but fell off sharply after the first game in October.

In each of his first four games, he earned at least 40 yards and three catches. His best game came against the Steelers, when he caught three passes for 53 yards. Since then, however, he's only caught one pass.

Why was Kyrie Irving dropped from Nike?

Kyrie Irving's deal with Nike was suspended after the Nets star supported an anti-Semetic documentary that attacked people of Jewish descent. In a statement given to CNN, the company explained that the star's relationship with them was effectively terminated. They added that the company would be halting production on their latest product.

“At Nike, we believe there is no place for hate speech and we condemn any form of anti-Semitism. To that end, we’ve made the decision to suspend our relationship with Kyrie Irving effective immediately and will no longer launch the Kyrie 8. We are deeply saddened and disappointed by the situation and its impact on everyone.”

Irving was suspended for five games by the NBA and there is potential for the number to increase. In an 83-game season, a five-game suspension is not a big chunk of the year, as it would be in the NFL, but Nets fans are bracing for a drop in production.

The star was averaging nearly 40 minutes of time on the court and 27 points per game.
