“Matt LaFleur, when somebody called it was about somebody's going to call this man out. I had questions as to whether or not Matt Lafleur was deserving because you were an offensive coordinator of a 27th ranked offense in the National Football League and you got the head coaching job in Green Bay. Congratulations on your interview skills. But in the end, what it comes down to is this you ridden the coattails of Aaron Rodgers.

Smith continued:

"We look at the roster that has been assembled. We can't question all the organizational leadership in terms of the talent they've accumulated. We've been complaining about them on special teams going on two plus years now. If you're the Green Bay Packers, when the hell are you going to fix it? You, the head coach, get it done or get somebody in there that can hire the right person to get it done. Special teams has something to do with that outcome yesterday to. You Offensive line has something to do with that outcome.

Smith finished:

"Yesterday, two young receivers because you couldn't find anybody really, really experienced and gifted enough the combination of this. I'm looking at the head coach. I think Matt LaFleur has been riding the coat tails of Aaron Rodgers. He has gotten away with too much and he needs to be called out for what he doesn't do and how Aaron Rodgers has rescued him over the last few years."

Are LaFleur and the Packers in trouble?

From the outside looking in. Yes. Without a doubt. Does it have something to do with allowing Davante Adams to walk to the Raiders? Potentially, as the Packers' offense simply isn't nowhere near as potent as previous seasons (haven't scored more than 27 points).

Green Bay is now two games behind Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, who currently lead the NFC North thanks to their 5-1 record. Green Bay is 3-3.

We all knew that there was going to be a teething process, but with Rodgers, we thought he could help offset some of the bad plays. That hasn't happened.

Matt LaFleur and the Packers need to figure things out and do it quickly. If not, the division and potentially even the playoffs will be lost.
