After the Philadelphia Eagles' 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, former NFL offensive tackle Taylor Lewan is ready to label the Dolphins as frauds.

Heading into the matchup, the Dolphins had a 5-1 record, but all of their victories were against non-winning teams.

After facing their toughest challenge of the season in the Philadelphia Eagles on the road, the Dolphins came up short and were handed their second loss of the season.

Speaking with talk show host Kay Adams on "Up & Adams," Lewan said that the Dolphins came up short in their two big games this season against the Buffalo Bills and the Eagles. He thinks they need to prove a little more before being labeled as a contender.

Lewan said:

"I do think we're on a fraud alert type of situation. They lose to the Bills, they lose to the Eagles. But two teams that are perceived as one of the best teams in the league. I bet on them the week they played the Bills and no they got bonked on that one.
"And then Philly, same thing, I bet on Miami again and they just didn't do it. I don't think Miami is [in] the conversation the way the Ravens should be now, the way the Chiefs are. I just think they have to prove a little bit more. Right now they have a hell of an offense, but the defense has got to show up too."

The Miami Dolphins were at a disadvantage with the refs during last night's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles

The officiating in Week 7 saw a few controversial calls by refs this weekend in the Rams-Steelers and the Colts-Browns games.

On Sunday night, the Miami Dolphins were penalized 10 times. The Eagles, on the other hand, weren't called for a single penalty. As David Furones noted, this was the seventh time in NFL history that one team was not penalized while their opponent had double-digit penalties:

"The 10-0 penalty disparity in the Dolphins' loss to the Eagles Sunday night was only the seventh time in NFL history one team was not penalized while its opponent was called for double-digit penalties."

There was one blatant no-call against Eagles defensive back James Bradberry as he grabbed Dolphins wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr.'s facemask while he was trying to make a catch.

Regardless, the Philadelphia Eagles won by two touchdowns and improved to 6-1.
