Darius Slay gives his honest assessment of Aaron Rodgers' Packers future

Aaron Rodgers' future with the Green Bay Packers remains uncertain as he returns from his darkness retreat. The veteran quarterback is expected to make a decision pretty soon as multiple teams linger around him.

Many think that Jordan Love is ready to take over as the starting quarterback of the Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay also raved about his potential. However, Slay doesn't think Rodgers will leave the Packers.

Here's what Darius Slay said on his podcast:

"It's just so hard to see Aaron Rodgers in another jersey. I know it probably was hard for people to see Brett Favre in another jersey but Brett Favre was not doing what A-Rod was doing these days.
"To see A-Rod in other jersey, I just can't see a man. I think he'll retire a cheesehead and we will leave it at that man. Jordan Love will get his time, but it ain't gonna be now, I don't think it's now."

The Green Bay Packers are open to any decision that Rodgers comes upon as they have trust in Jordan Love to take over in case the four-time NFL MVP asks to get traded.

The Packers missed the playoffs last season, but by the end of the season, the rookie receivers had developed chemistry with Aaron Rodgers, and the team began to play well. It will be intriguing to see what the franchise's future holds.

Despite Aaron Rodgers' underwhelming season last year, numerous teams around the league are keen to bring him on board. Everyone in the league understands that Rodgers is capable of delivering another MVP-caliber season if the situation surrounding him is right and he is healthy.

The loss of Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders had a significant impact on Rodgers' trust in his receiving core, which was clear for several weeks last season. The Raiders were in talks with Rodgers, but it appears like they may be looking for a younger quarterback instead.

However, teams like the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers remain interested in the Packers quarterback and might make a move for him if Rodgers wants out of Green Bay.
