Tom Brady's midseason party trip caused rift with Bucs players, claims NFL insider (Exclusive)

Tom Brady and his 23rd season in the NFL didn't go the way he expected. He and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the regular season with a losing record while getting eliminated in the Wild Card round.

The season was a tough one for Brady, but his actions didn't do him any favors in the locker room, per NFL insider JP Peterson, who commented that Buccaneers teammates weren't pleased that the three-time NFL MVP attended a party midseason.

Peterson said:

"And people they're all gonna say it had nothing to do with Brady. I don't believe that. I think the players were pissed. Some other players were like, Look, we're not playing that well, anyway. Right. And you're taking off and whatever it was, I just thought it was a bad look."

He added:

"I do think it got some resentment because there was another incident too, in the middle of the season where he went to Robert Kraft's wedding on a Friday. Night, in the middle of the season, guys go out and do stuff on Friday night, but that was in New York."

JP Peterson also stated:

"If the team allowed him to meet the team in Pittsburgh, instead of coming back to Tampa and then flying with the team, the morning, walk-through all that stuff, being with the team, he was allowed just to meet them in Pittsburgh."

All things considered, it seems that Tom Brady might not be welcomed back to the Buccaneers for a fourth season in 2023.

Will Tom Brady stay with the Buccaneers next season or move on?

For the future Hall of Fame quarterback, his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wasn't all that bad. He led the team to their second Super Bowl victory in franchise history in his first season with them.

Last season, Tom Brady led the NFL in both passing yards (5,316) and touchdowns (43). This season was unlike any other he has experienced statistically.

He threw for 4,694 yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions this season as the Buccaneers' offense finished 25th in points per game (18.4 points). It cost offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich his job as there was supposed friction between the two.

We'll see what the future holds for Tom Brady with Tampa Bay this off-season.
