WISPA Indian Challenger 2011- Qualifying

Squash Rackets federation of India along with Tamil Nadu Squash Rackets Association will be conducting its first WISPA Event for 2011being held at Indian Squash Academy, Chennai from 19 -23 April 2011.

The main draw starts from 20^th April featuring world no.16 Donna Urquhart (Aus), Indian’s Dipika Pallikal and Joshana Chinappa ranked world no.23 and 32 respectively.

The final round of qualifying witnessed top seed Aparajitha Balamurukan moving into the main draw defeating Mayuri Namasivaysam 11-7 11-3 11-3 in 25 mins. Lakshya defeated Sai Meera in a very exciting match. Sai Meera won the first game in 11-7 and however lost the second 8-11. Sai Meera came back very strongly in third game beating her opponent 11-1. But the U15 National champion Lakshya came back well and beat Sai Meera in the next two games 7-11 11-8 1-11 11-7 11-5.

Lakshya playes Tenille Swartz( SA) and Aparajitha plays Siti Munirah (Mas) in the main draw.
