Boris Becker congratulated compatriot Thomas Tuchel on his recent appointment as FC Bayern Munich's new head coach.

Bayern Munich announced on Friday that manager Julian Nagelsmann has been fired and that Thomas Tuchel will take over immediately. The change comes as the team dropped from first to second place in the Bundesliga table for the 2022-23 season and reports of Nagelsmann losing player support surfaced.

Tuchel expressed his excitement at joining the German club, saying that he is looking forward to working with one of Europe's "most talented" and "best" squads.

"When you sign a contract at FC Bayern, it's a great honour. My express thanks for the trust in me go to Oliver Kahn, Hasan Salihamidžić, Herbert Hainer and Uli Hoeneß. When you work abroad for a while, you become even more aware of the importance of FC Bayern," he said.
"The club's DNA is about commitment. Bayern is about winning, also about the way of winning. The squad is one of the most talented and best squads in Europe. I'm really looking forward to working with this squad," he added.

Following this, Becker took to Instagram to congratulate Tuchel, writing:

"Congratulations TT."

Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for 'Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker.' The new two-part documentary series, directed by Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney, will premiere on 7 April 2023.

The docuseries will explore every facet of the German, who rose to tennis superstardom after winning the Wimbledon Championships at just 17 years old. Becker went on to win 49 career titles, including six Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal, and lived a very high-profile, albeit occasionally turbulent, personal life.

The filmmakers had exclusive access to Becker for more than three years after he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for concealing assets and loans during his bankruptcy declaration in order to avoid paying his debts.

The docuseries is produced by John Battsek and Alex Gibney along with producers George Chignell and Erin Edeiken. Executive producers include Stacey Offman, Richard Perello, Kerstin Emhoff, Andrew Ruhemann, Julian Bird, Duncan Ford, and Ed Barratt.

Becker expressed his excitement about the announcement of the worldwide release date of the documentary, writing:

"Game, Set and Action. I'm looking forward to the Apple TV+ Documentary 'Boom! Boom! The world vs. Boris Becker' launching on Friday 7th April @appletvplus."
