Novak Djokovic to be a father soon

A moment of immense joy is in store for World No. 2 tennis player Novak Djokovic. But this time the joy is not going to come from winning a Gram Slam trophy or a Masters title or the Davis Cup.

Instead, it has to do with the fact that the Serb is set to become a father soon.

This is what Djokovic tweeted from his official Twitter handle yesterday:

Djokovic and Jelena Ristic got engaged in September 2013 but they have been together for nearly 9 years now.

The 26-year-old Serb is currently nursing a wrist injury. On being asked about the injury he said, “Fortunately, the situation with the injury is better than it first seemed. Doctors assured me that I will be ready for Madrid, then Rome and Roland Garros, just as it has been planned. However, I need to continue with the recovery process and full medical treatments. It means I will have to take a short break in order to recover as soon as possible.”

In the midst of all these happenings, it will be interesting to see Djokovic’s tennis schedule or his performances will be affected in any way.
