Iga Swiatek etched her name in the history books once again when she emerged triumphant at the 2024 Italian Open. This was her 10th title on the WTA-1000 level.

Swiatek was invincible in Rome as she did not drop a set en route to her third title in the Italian city. With the Pole having dominated women's tennis for the last three years, let's take a look at the six youngest players to win 10 WTA-1000 titles:

#6 Serena Williams

American legend Serena Williams is the most successful player at the WTA 1000-level. She has won a whopping 23 titles in the category, with her last 1000 title being the 2016 Italian Open. The 23-time Grand Slam champion is sixth on the list of youngest players to win 10 WTA-1000 titles, reaching the milestone at 26 years and six months of age.

Williams won her first title in this category at the 1999 Miami Open, and her 10th such win came at the 2008 Charleston Open.

#5 Justine Henin

Justine Henin was among the world's best tennis players, men or women, between 2002 and 2007. The Belgian made her mark on the tennis world at the WTA 1000 German Open in 2002, where she defeated Serena Williams to lift her maiden title in the category.

The former World No. 1 would go on to win nine more WTA-1000 trophies in her career. Her last such win was at the 2007 Zurich Open, at the age of 25 years and four months, making her the fifth youngest player to reach the 10 WTA-1000 titles mark.

#4 Maria Sharapova

Russian tennis icon Maria Sharapova occupies the fourth spot on this list, having lifted her 10th title on the WTA-1000 level at the 2012 Italian Open at the age of 25 years and one month. This was her second title in Rome, and she defeated Chinese former tennis player Li Na to win the tournament.

Sharapova's maiden WTA 1000 title was the 2005 Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, Japan. The Russian won 14 titles in this category during her career, with her final WTA 1000 title being the 2015 Italian Open.

#3 Steffi Graf

The most successful tennis player to come out of Germany, Steffi Graf won 107 singles titles in her career. Out of them, 15 were from the WTA-1000 category. The 22-time Grand Slam champion won her first title in this category at the 1988 Lipton Championships in Key Biscayne, Florida.

Within the next five years, the German had reached the 10-title mark on the WTA-1000 level. She achieved the milestone at the 1993 Canadian Open in Toronto at the age of 24 years and seven months, placing her third on this list.

#2 Iga Swiatek

The World No. 1 has stamped her authority on the WTA Tour over the last few years. She has won four Grand Slam titles and been at the top for 103 weeks now - ninth on the all-time list.

Iga Swiatek found her way on this list after triumphing at the Italian Open for the third time in her career in 2024 at the age of 22 years and 11 months. The Polish star player won her first WTA 1000 title at this very tournament back in 2021 and, within three years, has lifted nine more trophies at this level, placing her behind only one tennis player on the list of top ten youngest players to win 10 WTA 1000 titles.

#1 Martina Hingis

The only tennis player to be ahead of Iga Swiatek on this list is Martina Hingis, who lit the tennis stage on fire in the 1990s when she stormed her way to several youngest-ever records after making her tour-level debut at just 14 years old. The youngest Grand Slam champion and former World No. 1, Hingis won 43 singles titles in her career.

At the WTA-1000 level, the Swiss maverick was victorious 17 times, with her first one being the 1997 Pan Pacific Open. At the same tournament in the year 2000, Hingis won her 10th WTA-1000 title at the age of 19 years and six months, thus becoming the youngest player to win 10 WTA-1000 trophies.
