Former Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines has reacted to Joe Biden and the White House's decision to rewrite Title IX. The decision of the Biden-led administration comes on the eve of the 52nd anniversary of the passage of the landmark Title IX law.

The measures of Biden and his administration to rewrite the Title IX is solely focused to allow the participation of transgender athletes in school teams that are aligned with their gender identity.

Gaines, an advocate for women's rights, took no time to lash out against the proposal that would transform Title IX of the US Constitution, which prohibits any form of gender discrimination in the school and collegiate circuit.

Besides, these measures have also raised questions about the fairness of participation among the school teams. Gaines also urged her countrymen to take all these instances into consideration while voting in the upcoming presidential elections in November.

"The forthcoming illegal, administrative rewrite of Title IX is the most anti-woman pursuit we've seen from the Biden Administration. It's dire we get a new administration in the White House in November" - Riley Gaines wrote on X.

The 22-year-old Kentucky native has been quite active in raising her voice against the government for prioritizing the transgender community. However, her recent measures failed after each of the 51 Democrat senators voted against the Protection of Women in the Olympics and Amateur Sports bill that would protect the women's division of sports at various levels of competitions.

During the event at the Leadership Institute, Gaines also remarked about her experience of going head-to-head with Lia Thomas, a transgender athlete during the NCAA Championships 2022.

During the tournament, Thomas became the first transgender athlete to win a NCAA Division I Championship in the 500m women's freestyle event. Referring to this incident, Gaines lashed out at the NCAA for its policies, saying:

"[The NCAA] saw absolutely nothing wrong with this. About three weeks before our national championships in March of 2022, they announced that Thomas’ participation in the women’s category was a nonnegotiable …We were told we had to accept this with a smile on our face."

Ever since that incident, Gaines hasn't left a stone untouched to criticize the privileges that transgender athletes get. Besides, the Kentucky native has also taken substantial measures to educate her countrymen against the growing influence of the transgender community.
