WWE news: NXT plans, Ryder update, Randy Orton's punt & more

Update on Ryder

- Jericho feuds with Regal: The war of words between Chris Jericho and William Regal has continued on Twitter. A fan asked Regal who would win in a technical match – he or Jericho. Regal replied:“Someone would have to teach him a proper hold before he could enter.”

Jericho responded:

“Is this the guy who used to be on Raw 5 years ago? Not sure I remember who you are…”

Regal once again ended the back and forth:

“You know, I’m the one who copied you and wore a 3 piece suit and talked intelligently and menacing.”

- NXT Plans: The current plan is for WWE to continue taping NXT with SmackDown on Tuesday and air it on the website like they have been doing. They will finish the current “season” before they begin airing the footage that was taped in Florida last week at Full Sail University.

- Johnny Still on Crutches: To sell his injuries from WWE Over the Limit, John Laurinaitis has been walking on crutches in public this week. Laurinaitis was seen on crutches and selling his injuries at an airport in Virginia yesterday.

- Update on Ryder: Zack Ryder wrote the following on Twitter about his absence from RAW:

“For those counting, I haven’t been on Raw in 4 weeks. This could be like a modern day Goldberg streak.”

- Orton’s Move Banned: - Randy Orton was asked on Twitter to bring the punt back. Orton noted that the move was banned due to “‘Concussional’ awareness.”

- WWE Register Tredemarks: WWE registered “RAW ACTIVE” as a trademark for the name of their online chatrooms, when RAW goes three hours in July. They have also registered “#RAWACTIVE” for use with their clothing line.
