3 crucial things we learnt from tonight's WWE Raw

The latest edition of Monday Night Raw that emanated from StateFarm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, was a special one by all means.

The WWE Universe had been waiting for tonight with bated breath to get an update on the man who has been sidelined for the past several months courtesy his battle with Leukaemia: The Big Dog, Roman Reigns.

Additionally, as we inch one step closer to the grandest stage of them all, the WrestleMania card could possibly be filled up with another match or two. Not to forget, there's the white-hot feud for the Raw Women's title, with Becky Lynch still being out of the match.

By the end of the night, we ended up learning three crucial things that could end up heavily affecting the ongoing plans for the show of shows in April. Let's take a look at them.

#3 Roman Reigns could have a marquee match at WrestleMania

The Big Dog finally returned to address the WWE Universe and the reaction was one of pure elation! The fans welcomed The Big Dog back to his yard, and it was a sight to marvel at. After briefing the fans about his ongoing struggle with cancer, Roman came to the topic at hand: the update that was promised.

Reigns had a big smile on his face before giving the update, assuring the fans beforehand that this was going to go really well. And thankfully, it did!

Roman announced that he is in remission, and he is back!

The sea of fans erupted in unison upon hearing the announcement. As Reigns prepared to leave, he was greeted by none other than The Architect, Seth Rollins. Needless to say, this completely changes the landscape of the WWE and makes one wonder as to what's going to be Roman Reigns' role at WrestleMania 35 inside Metlife Stadium.

As I have previously mentioned in an article, there are a bunch of opponents that Roman Reigns could battle with now that he is back in action. Although we still don't know who's going to be Reigns' opponent come WrestleMania, one thing's for sure: Reigns' unexpected update is going to result in a massive surge in WrestleMania buy rates this year.

#2 We might be getting a final Shield reunion

By the end of the night, Roman Reigns was already in action!

After Drew McIntyre defeated Dean Ambrose with a Claymore Kick to the head, the notorious trio of McIntyre, Lashley and Corbin began their vicious beatdown on the helpless Dean Ambrose.

Out of the blue, Seth Rollins came out with a chair in his hands. Reigns joined in almost immediately, evening the odds. Every villain and their granny ate a Superman Punch, followed by a thunderous spear.

It's clear that WWE is trying to have a Shield reunion before Dean Ambrose leaves the company. It has been a long while since we saw the trio in action, and the upcoming PPV, Fastlane just might be the perfect place to let The Shield run rampant on the villains.

With Elias in the mix, there's still confusion on how the match will play out, but a 6-man tag team match at Fastlane looks like a lock at this point.

#1 The Women's triple threat is destined to headline WrestleMania

Although some reports suggested that WWE has yet to decide on which match will headline the show of shows, it looks like we have already got an answer.

The three-way feud between Ronda, Charlotte and Becky has been going on for a good while now. WWE has left no stone unturned in the booking of this match, giving Becky the kind of treatment they once gave to the Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Most importantly, this feud has been on the McMahon radar all this time, with Vince, Triple H and Stephanie getting involved on multiple occasions. If the McMahon family's past is any indication, they love to insert themselves into big, main event matches. It has happened on several occasions in the past, most notably at WrestleMania 16, 17 and 18.

Their heavy involvement in this match is a sign that the Women's title triple threat match will headline the show of shows, and not the Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar match for the Universal title.
