What’s the story?

Jeff Hardy was reportedly set to appear at his scheduled court hearing this past Monday.

Nevertheless, Hardy competed on RAW and was unable to appear at the aforementioned court hearing.

Additional details on the hearing stemming from his DWI (Driving While Impaired) arrest in March have also been noted.

In case you didn’t know…

Hardy was involved in a car crash in last month, and upon being tested, was found to be intoxicated.

The Charismatic Enigma totalled his vehicle but escaped relatively unscathed, with the breathalyzer tests that followed revealing his blood alcohol levels to be considerably higher than the legal limit.

The heart of the matter

One ought to note that while Hardy was arrested on DWI charges, he was granted bail, and subsequently made his on-screen WWE return after a lengthy injury hiatus—appearing on the April 9th edition of RAW.

Additionally, Hardy—who was scheduled to appear in Cabarrus County Court in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, April 16th—instead performed on RAW in Hartford, Connecticut; defeating Jinder Mahal for the United States Championship.

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that Hardy’s lawyer would’ve possibly represented him at the April 16th court hearing.

Furthermore, per online court records, the Charismatic Enigma’s next court hearing regarding his DWI arrest, is on Monday, May 14th—a date that’ll see RAW air live from the O2 Arena in London, England.

What’s next?

Presently, the belief is that Hardy is likely to be drafted to the WWE’s SmackDown Live brand.

Hardy is set to defend his WWE United States Championship against Jinder Mahal at WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble PPV which takes place at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on April 27th.

Author’s take

Hardy is one of the most hard-working performers in the professional wrestling business today.

Truth be told—driving while impaired is not an advisable thing to do, and it’d be great to see Hardy refrain from engaging in such a dangerous act in the future.
