NXT News:  NXT Live events postponed due to Hurricane Irma

What's the story?

According to a recent press release that the WWE sent out, several upcoming NXT Live events have been postponed. Due to Hurricane Irma approaching the state of Florida, they have decided to postpone the shows.

In case you didn't know...

The National Weather Service is calling Hurricane Irma one of the most powerful storms in history as it currently moves through the Caribbean and makes its way towards Florida. Irma has produced winds of up to 185 miles per hour and has leveled entire areas of Barbuda to Puerto Rico.

The heart of the matter...

From WWE's press release, they have postponed the following four Florida shows:

September 8th - Daytona Beach

September 9th - Crystal River

September 14th - Lakeland

September 15th - Dade City

The WWE rescheduled the event in Dade City for October 5th and fans who purchased tickets for the September 15th show are able to use them at that event. The WWE will announce the make-up dates for the other shows shortly and provided the following message:

NXT continues to air every Wednesday on the WWE Network. The recent triumvirate of former Ring of Honor champions continue to terrorize the roster; while William Regal tries his best to keep the attacks at bay. Expect further progression on this story for the next episode.

Obviously this is the right call from the WWE. The good news is the National Weather Service downgraded the storm to a level four, but could still be dangerous. Everyone at Sportskeeda would like to wish everyone in the path of the hurricane to stay safe.
