WWE News: WWE Champion's match on SmackDown gets cancelled

The Family about to collide with The Club

It was confirmed at Payback that Roman Reigns will face AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship in an Extreme Rules match. As the members of The Club, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, are there to provide back up to Styles for matches like that, The Usos have sided with the Champion to help him fight them off.

In the recent weeks, The Club has wrestled with The Usos and Roman Reigns on multiple occasions. This week on RAW they were booked in a 6 man elimination tag team match, which was won by Reigns and Usos due to a disqualification when Anderson attacked Roman with a steel chair. After that match, it was announced on Monday night that the WWE World Champion, Roman Reigns will fight Luke Gallows in this week’s SmackDown.

As reported by wrestlinginc.com, the scheduled match between Roman and Luke didn’t take place on this week’s WWE SmackDown tapings. Instead, The Usos faced Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a tag team match. The reason behind the cancelation of Reigns’ match from the card and replacement with a tag match is yet to be specified. Both Reigns and AJ appeared backstage to inform the competitors that they will be there if the other guy interferes.
