Charlotte Flair created history this past Tuesday when she competed in the main event of SmackDown LIVE against Naomi. This made her the first woman in the history of the WWE to main event Monday Night Raw, SmackDown LIVE, and a pay-per-view, in a singles match.

Charlotte Flair made her way to SmackDown LIVE during the Superstar Shakeup in what was the biggest coup for the blue brand. The four-time Women’s Champion made her presence felt when she beat Naomi with the Natural Selection in a non-title match to become the number one contender for the SmackDown LIVE Women’s Championship.

The heart of the matter
The match between Charlotte and Naomi ended in a no contest when Natalya, Tamina, and Carmella decided to interfere and ruin what was turning out to be a great main event for team blue.

Charlotte was one of the first women to headline a PPV alongside Sasha Banks when the duo competed in a Hell in A Cell match for the Raw Women’s Championship last year. This achievement comes as another feather in the cap for the genetically superior athlete.
What’s next?
The rivalry between Charlotte and Naomi is just starting to pick up, and the two women are far from done with each other. Charlotte’s quick rise to the top has garnered her some more enemies in the women’s division, and she will have to take care of them before she can turn her attention to the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
