What’s the story?

The Rock will receive a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week in Hollywood, California, according to Walk of Fame.

In case you didn’t know...

Before The Rock broke into Hollywood, he rose to fame as a WWE superstar during the Attitude Era as the primary rival to Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The Rock made guest appearances on television shows during most of his early acting career, but The Great One made his first appearance in a major film as The Scorpion King in The Mummy Returns in 2001.

The heart of the matter

The Most Electrifying Man in all of Sports and Entertainment will receive the 2,624th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame under the category of motion pictures on December 13, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. PST at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Hollywood & Highland.

The Rock began his career making appearances in small franchises, but eventually went on to bigger roles following his departure from the WWE.

Some of the biggest films the former WWE Champion has been involved in have included the Fast and Furious series, the second G.I. Joe movie, San Andreas, Disney’s Moana and others.

What’s next?

One of The Rock’s movies, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, premiered in France on December 05, 2017, and will be released on December 20, 2017, in the United States, UK, France and Canada.

This is great news for The Rock. Now, he'll have the most electrifying star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unfortunately for professional wrestling fans, a return to the squared circle doesn't seem to be on the cards in the near future.
