Jalen Hurts is an NFL football quarterback playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, as of February 2025. Jalen Hurts was picked in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles as the 53rd pick. Hurts served as a backup for the squad in his rookie season. He led the Eagles to an 8-0 start which had never been done before in the franchise’s history and then led them to a Super Bowl LVII appearance in 2022. In 2024, Hurts took the Eagles to Super Bowl LIX, making him the first Eagles quarterback to reach the Super Bowl twice. Notably, Hurts earned Second-team All-Pro honors in 2022, made the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2023, and won the Bert Bell Award in 2022.

Before entering the NFL, Hurts played college football for both the the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma. After spending three seasons with Alabama from 2016 to 2018, Hurts decided to play his final year of eligibility in Oklahoma in 2019. Hurts was a Second-team All-American in 2019 and won Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year the same year. He was also a First-team All-Big 12 in 2019. Earlier in his career at Alabama, he became a CFP National Champion in 2017 and earned First-team All-SEC, SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2016. He also played high school football at Channelview High School.
