Very few players in the NBA have the kind of game that sees them post double-digit numbers in at least three major statistical categories after the conclusion of a game.

Doing so while tallying at least 30 points is no mean feat. But there have been players who have achieved this feat several times in their NBA careers so far.

On that note, let's take a look at the five players in NBA history with the most number of 30-point triple-doubles in their career.

#5 Wilt Chamberlain - 21 30-point triple-doubles

Wilt Chamberlain is often mentioned by a lot of NBA viewers in their top five or top ten players list of all-time. He was one of the most dominant bigs the game has ever seen. Chamberlain had a knack for posting outrageous statistics throughout his career in the NBA.

He holds the record for the most points in an NBA game (100) and is the only NBA player to record 4000+ points in a single season. Chamberlain has also averaged 50.4 points and 48.5 minutes per game in a season. It comes as no surprise that the former NBA champion has found his way on to this list.

Wilt Chamberlain has recorded 21 30-point triple-doubles in his career. The center recorded 78 career triple-doubles in his career.

#4 James Harden - 30 30-point triple-doubles

James Harden has mostly been regarded as a scorer throughout his career. However, his overall numbers suggest otherwise and the other aspects of his game are highly underrated. Harden certainly made huge strides in changing that perception of him last season with the Brooklyn Nets.

He played the role of a primary facilitator on the Nets team that also featured Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The 2018 NBA MVP averaged 24.8 points, 10.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game. He also recorded several triple-doubles during the campaign.

Due to his ability to be an efficient scorer, James Harden has managed to record 30 30-point triple-doubles in his career. He ranks eighth all-time on the list for most career triple-doubles by a player.

#3 LeBron James - 34 30-point triple-doubles

LeBron James is widely regarded as the best player to ever play in the NBA. The LA Lakers talisman has been highly efficient throughout his career. Even at the age of 36, James remains one of the best all-around players in the league. His ability to cover multiple aspects of his side's play on the court is unparalleled, which has seen him break several records in his 18 season-long career.

James ranks second in the most triple-doubles among active players in the league, with 99 triple-doubles to his name so far. He can score, rebound and facilitate plays with great ease, making him one of the most consistent players of all time.

As a result, James has also had multiple 30-point triple-double games in his career. He ranks third all-time in that regard with 34 30-point triple-doubles to his name.

#2 Russell Westbrook - 47 30-point triple-doubles

A triple-double record without Russell Westbrook's name mentioned seems like a very unreal proposition. Westbrook currently leads the NBA in most career triple-doubles by a player (184).

The former OKC Thunder talisman has managed to average a triple-double throughout the season four times in his career. With the rate at which the point guard has managed to tally these triple-doubles, it comes as no surprise that he has also managed to notch 47 30-point triple-doubles in the NBA.

It will be interesting to see if he can continue tallying triple-doubles at an efficient rate next season with the LA Lakers.

#1 Oscar Robertson - 106 30-point triple-doubles

Oscar Roberston was one of the most versatile players in the NBA during his playing days in the league. He held the record for tallying the most career triple-doubles (181) for 47 years until Russell Westbrook broke his record during the 2020-21 NBA campaign.

Robertson was also the first-ever player to average a triple-double for the season during the 1961-62 NBA campaign. He was a 6'5" guard who could do anything on the basketball court. It was one of the key factors that helped Robertson tally a record 106 30-point triple-doubles in his NBA career, the most by any player ever.
