He joined the college’s basketball team and continued his basketball journey with them. Alfred led the team to beat several college-level basketball teams in his college career. In April 2007, he chose to enter the NBA, for which he declared for the 2007 NBA draft.

NBA Career

The real start of Alfred’s NBA career came on June 28, 2007, when he turned into the third overall selection of the Atlanta Hawks in the 2007 NBA draft. He later signed a rookie scale contract with this team on July 29 and went on to play for the franchise in numerous basketball matches. Alfred played around 9 seasons with this team and then joined the Boston Celtics in 2016.

Alfred Horford signed a four-yr. contract with the Boston Celtics on July 8, 2016. He initially participated inside the first three season games wherein he played well. But, Alfred unfortunately missed the next nine straight games due to a traumatic brain injury. He stayed for around with this team and then signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on July 10, 2019. Alfred just played a lone season with this team and debuted in a match against the Boston Celtics on October 23.

Thereafter, Alfred Horford was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 8, 2020. During the first match with this team, he scored 13 rebounds and three points with this group. Alfred just played a season for this team and then again joined the Boston Celtics on June 18, 2021, an NBA team for which he played in 2016. He constantly led the team to numerous basketball games including the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals. He signed a two-year contract with this group on December 1, 2022, and is now performing for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association.
