Alex Michael Caruso is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as of December 2024. Nicknamed "Bald Mamba" and "Carushow,” Caruso was born in College Station, Texas, U.S. He attended A&M Consolidated High School, where he was named TABC All-Regional, All-State, as well as TABC All-Star and district MVP. Caruso played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies, where he averaged 8.0 points, 4.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game, throughout his four years in college. He finished as the all-time leader in assists (649) and steals (276) for his college.

After going undrafted in 2016, Caruso joined the Lakers for the 2017 NBA Summer League, where he showcased his elite two-way skills. He later became an important bench player for the Lakers and was a crucial part of the team that won the 2020 NBA championship. Caruso signed a four-year contract with the Chicago Bulls in 2021 and was the key member of the team in the defense, as he was named to the NBA Defensive Team in 2023. In June 2024, Caruso was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
