Alex Michael Caruso is an American professional basketball player. As of March 2025, he plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He attended Texas A&M University and played for the Aggies men's basketball team, where he played from 2012 to 2016. According to his college profile, he averaged 8.0 points, 4.7 assists per game, a total of 649 assists, and 276 steals during his collegiate career. In his senior season, Caruso led the Aggies to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, earned a spot on the SEC All-Defensive Team, and was honored with second-team All-SEC recognition.

Caruso was picked by the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2017 NBA Summer League after going undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. He played for the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA Development League in the 2016-17 season and for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League from 2017 to 2019. Caruso played an instrumental role in helping the Lakers win their 17th NBA Championship in 2020. After winning the NBA title Caruso signed with the Chicago Bulls as a Free Agent and spent three seasons there after which in June 2024 he was traded to the Thunder and signed a four-year $81 million extension with them in December 2024.
