A professional Serbian basketball participant, Boban Marjanovic was born on August 15, 1988. He last played for the Houston Rockets in the National Basketball Association in the 2022/23 season. Marjanovic has also represented the Serbian national basketball team at the EuroBasket and Olympics.

Standing at 7 feet 4 inches tall, Marjanovic is one of the tallest players in the NBA and plays at the center position. He is known for his elite rebounding and strong finishing around the rim.

Marjanovic has also appeared in multiple films — including John Wick: Chapter 3, and Netflix film Hustle, which was produced by Lebron James and Adam Sandler.

Professional Career

Marjanovic began his basketball career in his hometown Boljevac, Serbia, where he played for Rtanj. At the age of 14, he was already 6 feet 10.5 inches tall. He then played for Serbian professional team Hemofarm till 2010. Between 2010-2015, he played for multiple teams, including CSKA Moscow and Crvena zvezda. At Crvena zvezda, Marjanovic was selected for the Ideal Team for the 2014–15 ABA league season and also helped his team win the 2014–15 ABA League.

NBA Career

In 2015, Marjanovic signed a one-year deal worth $1.2 million with the San Antonio Spurs. He made his NBA debut in October 2015, recording six points and five rebounds in a win against the Brooklyn Nets.

In 2016, he signed a three-year $21 million deal with the Detroit Pistons. After two years in Detroit, he also played for the LA Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers till 2019.

In July 2019, Marjanovic was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he recorded his career-high 31 points and 17 rebounds in a win against the Denver Nuggets. Marjanovic moved to the Houston Rockets via a trade on June 24, 2022, which was his last NBA team. In 317 NBA games, Marjanovic has averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
