Brandon Xavier Ingram was born on September 2, 1997 in North Carolina, USA. He played for Kingston High School and won four consecutive state championships. He played for a year at Duke for college before declaring for the NBA draft.
He was selected by the LA Lakers as the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He was one of the youngest players to be drafted that season.
