Caleb Martin

Caleb Martin is a professional basketball player who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA as of 2024. His journey to the NBA began in Mocksville, North Carolina, where he played three seasons at Davie County High School alongside his twin brother, Cody Martin. During his freshman year, he also played football before focusing solely on basketball. The Martin twins later transferred to Oak Hill Academy. After high school, both brothers committed to North Carolina State University under coach Mark Gottfried. However, seeking new opportunities, Caleb and Cody transferred to the University of Nevada to play under coach Eric Musselman. This move proved successful for Caleb, who excelled in his first season (2017-18) with an impressive average of 18.9 points per game. His performance earned him the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year award from the coaches and the Newcomer of the Year honor from both coaches and media. His college success led to him being named Preseason Mountain West Player of the Year before his senior season.

Despite going undrafted in 2019, Martin signed with the Charlotte Hornets, where he played for two seasons. In 2021, he joined the Miami Heat on a two-way contract. During the 2022-23 season with the Heat, Martin posted solid numbers, averaging 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals across 71 games. He nearly earned Eastern Conference MVP honors, finishing just one vote behind Jimmy Butler. In the season 2023-24, Martin played 64 games and he improved his scoring to 10.0 points per game while contributing 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Following this season, Martin signed a multi-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, beginning a new chapter in his NBA career.
