Wood played for Findlay Prep as a senior and helped them win 54 games consecutively and the ESPN National High School Invitation Championship of 2012. He played collegiate basketball for UNLV, where he played 30 games as a freshman and 33 games as a sophomore and scored at an impressive average of 10.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game. He earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors.

Christian Wood declared for the 2015 NBA Draft, but went undrafted. However, he has played for eight different NBA teams since his debut. This offseason, the LA Lakers acquired Christian Wood on a two-year $5.7 million contract.
