The Warriors were the top-seeded team in the western conference and had an amazing season that year holding a 67-15 record. The Warriors won the championship by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 4-2 series.

The Warriors met the Cavaliers again in the NBA Finals a couple of years later, and the results repeated with the Warriors defeating the Cavaliers 4-1. Green was named the Defensive Player of the Year for his excellent defensive gameplay and stats.

The 2018 championship was the third in the last four years for the Warriors. Once again they were against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors swept the Cavaliers by 4-0.

The latest championship series came in 2022 when Stephen Curry was declared the Finals MVP for the 2021-22 season for his impressive performance during the series. This time, the Eastern Conference Champions, the Boston Celtics were the Warriors opponents.
