Ja Morant is one of the most explosive point guards in the NBA today. He won the Rookie of the Year after being drafted second overall in 2019. Morant has some of the best handles, along with court vision which helps him pick apart the defenses.

Morant’s ability to drive to the hole is what the world is in awe of. If any daylight is given to Morant, he is already in the hole trying to dunk on defenders. After the Memphis Grizzlies drafted Morant in 2019, their future has looked brighter than ever. They found the superstar caliber player that they were searching for, along with other important pieces like Marcus Smart, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane.

However, Morant’s off-court issues have been a problem of late. After flexing his firearm live on Instagram, Morant has been suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 regular season. If he takes the right path and keeps his focus on basketball, there is nothing that can stop Morant from becoming the face of the league.

Ja Morant Vertical

Ja Morant is just 6 feet 3 inches tall, but can jump up to 44 inches vertically. Morant can fly out of the building with the way he takes off from the floor. He has some of the most nasty dunks in the league.

Morant also uses his athleticism to pull off 360 layups which is insane to think about. However, he is not a fan of the dunk contest and has said that he will not participate in any dunk contests that happen during the All-Star weekend.

Morant has previously stated that he wants to dunk/posterize “The King” (Lebron James). He said that he wants to dunk on everybody, but to dunk on the supposed G.O.A.T would mean a lot.

Morant participated in back-to-back All-Star games in 2022, and 2023. He made history by becoming only the second player in the Grizzlies’ franchise history to make it as an All-Star starter.

In the 2022/23 season, Morant featured in 61 games and averaged 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game.
