Jerami Grant started his NBA journey with the Sixers in 2014. He was the 39th overall pick in the second round of the NBA draft and joined the team in the 2014 NBA Summer League and played there for two seasons.

In 2015, Grant's first career double-double came in against the Toronto Raptors. He scored 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma City Thunder (2016-2019)

For the next three seasons, Grant was with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was traded in exchange for Ersan Ilyasova. In 2018, he re-signed with the OKC Nothing much was seen from Grant’s side during these seasons.

Denver Nuggets (2019-2020)

Grant joined the Denver Nuggets in July 2019 and played there for only one season in 2019-2020.

Detroit Pistons (2020-2022)

After COVID-19, as the NBA season continued, Grant signed a contract worth $60 million with the Detroit Pistons. In February 2021, he posted his till then career-high 43 points against the Chicago Bulls and was named the runner-up in the Most improved player award.

In December 2021, he injured his right thumb and therefore, had to undergo surgery to repair the Ulnar Collateral ligament (UCL) and was ruled out from the season for the next six weeks.

Portland Trail Blazers (2022-present)

In 2022, Grant was traded to Portland Trail Blazers. In a 132-129 win against the New York Knicks, Grant scored his till now career high of 44 points.
