Josh Hart is a professional basketball player for the New York Knicks as of November 2024. He was born on March 6, 1995, in Silver Spring, Maryland. His rise to stardom started in Villanova University where he was instrumental in the Wildcats winning the national championship in 2016. Hart’s great performances earned him the Big East Player of the Year and Consensus First-Team All-American in 2017.

Moving to the NBA, Hart was drafted 30th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz but was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on the same day. He has been a member of the Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Portland Trail Blazers and is a member of the New York Knicks, as of November 2024. He averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 assists and 8.3 rebounds per game for the New York Knicks in the 2023-24 season. He was instrumental for the team as they made a deep playoff run, despite the underwhelming squad and poor expectations. He increased his averages in the playoffs with 14.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 11.5 rebounds per game and started in all 13 games he played in the playoffs.
