Josh Hart is an American basketball player who plays for the New York Knicks as a shooting guard and small forward as of May 2025. Born on March 6, 1995, Hart had an outstanding four-year college career at Villanova. In his sophomore college season, he earned the title of Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player and played a pivotal role in leading the Wildcats to a national championship in 2016. He ended his college career with 1,921 points, 812 rebounds and 266 assists.
In the 2017 NBA Draft, Hart was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 30th overall pick. However, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He was later involved in a blockbuster trade involving Anthony Davis, sending him to the New Orleans Pelicans.
