Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is an American small forward who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers. Kawhi is nicknamed “Klaw” due to his exceptionally massive hand size of 9.75 in length and 11.25 in width. Leonard is a six-time NBA All-Star and six-time All-NBA (three times All-NBA First Team - 2016, 2017, 2021 and three times All-NBA Second Team 2019, 2020, 2024). Leonard is especially known for his intense lockdown defense as he was named NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016. Leonard’s large hands help him immensely to get steals as he was the steals leader in 2015 and has averaged 1.7 steals per game for his career.

Leonard was drafted with the 15th overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2011 NBA draft and has since played for the Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Clippers. Leonard won the NBA championship in 2014 with the San Antonio Spurs and in 2019, Leonard led the Raptors to the NBA championship. In the 2014 and 2019 NBA finals, Leonard was named the NBA Finals MVP. As of October 2024, Kawhi Leonard is on a 3-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers that will end in the 2027 off-season.

Witnesses reported that Williams and Townsell fled the scene immediately afterwards. (via Sports Illustrated)
