"He low key better coach": Lakers fans in splits as Darvin Ham's pep talks earn Drake's son Adonis' music video comparison

The LA Lakers avoided playoff elimination on Saturday night by securing a 119-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series. Lakers fans have mixed reactions towards head coach Darvin Ham as they are still facing potential elimination.

Some fans took to X to mock Coach Ham's pregame pep talk to the team as they faced the Nuggets in Game 4, drawing comparisons to Drake's son Adonis' music video pep talk.

"He low key better coach than Darvin," said one fan.
"That kid is a better coach than darvin ham" wrote another fan.

However, LeBron James led the charge for the Lakers, finishing the night with 30 points, while Anthony Davis had a monstrous 25-point, 23-rebound double-double. D'Angelo Russell, who had been underwhelming in the previous games, scored 21 points, while Austin Reaves poured in another 21 points with 7-15 shooting from the 2-point line.

However, the win wasn't without its drama, as tensions between James and head coach Darvin Ham flared up during a crucial moment in the fourth quarter. Fans mocked the coach's decision not to challenge an out-of-bounds call.

"Darvin Ham easily the worst coach in the league" one fan wrote.
"Man, Darvin is good as gone after this season. His team can't stand him, and have literally checked out on him." said another.
"Wth is Darvin Ham doing?" wrote @mattalksports.
