Denver Nuggets v Los Angeles Lakers - Game Four
Hoops world reacts in disbelief as crazy stat shows Lakers dominating NBA Playoffs fixture

After 498 days, the Lakers finally snapped their 11-game losing streak against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night with a dominant performance. With their season on the line, LeBron James & Co. roared back to life in Game 4.

Right from the tip-off, the Lakers dominated the game, holding the lead all the way to the final buzzer to secure a decisive 119-108 victory against the defending champions.

Following the game, a crazy stat from ESPN emerged on social media about the Lakers-Nuggets series, which quickly gained attention. It shows the 17-time champions have led for the majority of the series, despite trailing 3-1 in the series.

Over four games, the Lakers held the lead for a longer time (129:06) compared to Denver (41:53). However, the worry for the Lakers will surely be that they haven’t managed to convert their dominance into wins.

This crazy stat of the Lakers-Nuggets series has left the hoops community bewildered. Some fans are left stunned by the rollercoaster playoff campaign the Lakers are having.

“This is crazy and ridiculous. Lakers should be up 3-1 or tied 2-2,” said a fan.
“Gonna sound crazy but the Lakers are better than the Nuggets!,” another fan said.

Whereas, some fans have launched a blame game aimed at the coaching staff.

“Comes down to coaching. The lakers have been the better team throughout this series. The nuggets have the better coach. That’s the difference,” remarked a fan.
“Coaching matters,” added another.
“If I’m Mike Malone, this is all I post on the board ahead of Game 5. Nothing else for them to talk about,” another fan pointed out.

Can the Lakers turn the tables around?

The Game 4 win over the Nuggets was a huge statement, and the Lakers showcased why they are one of the standout teams in the West.

The Lakers' third-quarter problems throughout the series were a major cause of concern. However, on Saturday, they made some critical tweaks that allowed them to avoid sliding into the same slump that had plagued them against the reigning champs.

Clinical performances from their star quartet of LeBron James, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves give some hope to fans. However, it will take some effort to achieve the unprecedented feat of becoming the first NBA team to win a playoff series after trailing 3-0.
