Covington's basketball journey began at Proviso West High School in Hillside, Illinois. Throughout his noteworthy NBA career, Covington has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers. However, in late 2023, Covington was traded back to Philadelphia, where his professional journey began.
