He joined the senior team of Baskonia in 2021 and also played for Iraurgi SB in the Spanish second division. Cissoko was selected 44th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2023 NBA Draft and has played for the Spurs and the Austin Spurs of the NBA G League.

His father, Yaya, was a basketball player who represented Senegal in the 1980 Summer Olympics. Cissoko reached the under-15 level with CTC Center Essonne before moving to Spain at 13 to join Baskonia's youth ranks. He excelled in the Liga EBA, averaging 17.4 points per game, and led the Baskonia junior team to a fourth-place finish in the national championship. In the 2021–22 ACB season, he made his senior debut for Baskonia, later joining Iraurgi SB on loan and playing in the Nike Hoop Summit in 2022.
