Trayce Jackson-Davis, more commonly known by his initials TJD, is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA. Growing up in Greenwood, Indiana, Jackson-Davis fully embodied the popularity of basketball in Indiana.

Jackson-Davis played high school basketball for Center Grove High School in Indiana, where he emerged as a consensus four-star recruit. He received offers from many top programs such as Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, UCLA, Purdue and Xavier. However, he committed to Indiana, where he played college ball for four seasons.

Jackson-Davis made an immediate impact for the Hoosiers, averaging 13.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game as a freshman. He made the Third-team All-Big-Ten while also making the All-Freshman team. As a sophomore, Jackson-Davis averaged 19.1 points, and 9.1 rebounds per game while being named on the All-American Third-Team.

In his junior season, Jackson-Davis took a leap on the defensive end, becoming one of the best defensive players in the country. He averaged 18.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game.

As a senior, Jackson-Davis’s stock shot through the roof as he gained substantial national recognition. He averaged career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and blocks, with 20.9 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.9 blocks per game. He won the Karl Malone Award as the nation’s top power forward and was also on Naismith’s Defensive Player of the Year semi-final list. After four years with the Hoosiers, Jackson-Davis declared for the 2023 NBA draft.

In the 2023 NBA Draft, Jackson-Davis was selected 57th overall pick by the Washington Wizards. Now playing alongside Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, Jackson-Davis has emerged as a pivotal piece for the Warriors as they try to compete for championships while keeping their championship core intact.
