He was drafted as the 33rd overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2018 NBA Draft. He scored 3 points and 1 rebound in his NBA debut against the Phoenix Suns. Brunson signed a four-year contract worth $104 million with the New York Knicks in 2022. He won the NCAA championship twice (2016 and 2018) and was also selected as the National College Player of the Year in 2018.
