Zach Collins, born on November 19, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada, professional basketball player currently playing for the San Antonio Spurs.

Collins started his basketball career at Bishop Gorman High School. His exceptional play at the school helped to win four consecutive state championships. He had a productive senior year where he was awarded the most valuable player of the year of Nevada's Southwest League.

After his outstanding play at the school, Collins joined Gonzaga University. In his freshman season, he made an impressive debut on November 11, 2016, scoring nine points while shooting 60% from the field off the bench. He averaged 10.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.

However, Collins' most significant contribution came during the 2017 NCAA Division 1 Final Four (semi-final) game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. This outstanding display helped Gonzaga reach their first-ever NCAA championship game and their inaugural Final Four appearance.

The outstanding play in his freshman year earned him a spot on the Second-team All-WCC in 2017. In 2017, Collins declared for the NBA draft. Drafted 10th overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2017, he was immediately traded to the Portland Trail Blazers on draft night. Since then, he has played for two NBA teams – the Portland Trail Blazers and currently, the San Antonio Spurs.
