Colston Loveland is a college football player and played the 2024 season as a junior. He began his football career at Gooding High School, where he played as both a tight end and a linebacker. As a sophomore, Loveland made 91 catches and recorded 1,147 yards with 14 touchdowns. As a senior, Colston Loveland caught 62 passes for 968 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 66 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two interceptions on defense. Loveland was ranked as the best player in Idaho by all major sports outlets. He was also the recipient of the 2021 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year award. Loveland concluded his four-year prep career with 235 receptions for 3,141 yards and 35 touchdowns. The four-star athlete from Gooding began his college football career with the Michigan Wolverines despite considering offers from top programs like Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Utah, Oregon State, Nevada, Idaho State, and Utah State.

In his freshman season, Loveland saw action in all 14 games and recorded 16 receptions for 235 yards with two touchdowns. Last season as a sophomore, Loveland saw more playing time as he appeared in all 15 games while making 12 starts for the program and caught 45 passes for 649 yards with four touchdowns. Loveland has entered the 2024 season as the best tight end in college football and is regarded as a first-round pick for the 2025 NFL Draft.
